Network Administrator

As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your skills to help support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your knowledge as you join our team of problem-solvers to help our defense clients evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.
Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you help optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- Experience with network operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts and implementation
- Experience with network design and configuration tools
- Knowledge of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, and associated cloud architecture
- Ability to script and automate, including in Python and PowerShell
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve problems
- Ability to communicate well and write technically
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 14+ years of experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, Associate's degree and 12+ years of experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting networking equipment at scale
Nice If You Have:
- Experience in research, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure projects
- Experience with military software and System of System testing
- Experience planning and operating military tactical networking, including battle command platforms and transport layers
- Experience with the employment of battle command systems in support of military operations
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Secret clearance
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certification
