Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design,
develop, and maintain secure, high-performance applications for enterprise environments.
The selected candidate will deliver front-end and back-end solutions, integrate with cloud
services, and work within Agile frameworks to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
The role involves collaborating with mission partners, business stakeholders, and technical
teams to translate requirements into functional software, ensuring compliance with
usability, accessibility, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver full software builds, including front-end and back-end components.
• Apply Agile methodologies, managing user stories and backlog items in enterprise provided tools.
• Coordinate and complete activities for each development sprint (2–3 weeks), ensuring regular demonstrations and feedback sessions.
• Capture, validate, and manage requirements for SharePoint, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and custom applications.
• Serve as SharePoint Designer and develop solutions on low-code/no-code platforms.
• Implement usability and accessibility standards, user research, and user-centered design principles in application development.
• Configure, administer, and optimize Amazon Linux, Windows OS, Apache, Tomcat, Express servers, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources using Bash, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
• Develop in multiple languages and frameworks (JavaScript, Java, NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML, XML, SQL, Python, Spring, Hibernate).
• Integrate REST and SOAP web services, PKI certificates, and secure configurations (OpenSSL, TLS, Oracle Wallet).
• Perform regression, unit, and acceptance testing (UAT) and create automated test scripts.
• Provide database support including patches, migrations, and recovery operations.
• Work with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitHub to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor applications, respond to alarms, and resolve audit events.
• Assess mission partner requirements, identify gaps, and create responsive project plans.
• Maintain engineering and support documentation in approved repositories throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate backlog prioritization and alignment with program goals.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in enterprise-level software development (front-end and back-end).
• Expertise in Agile delivery, backlog management, and sprint execution.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and SharePoint design.
• Strong cloud automation and DevOps skills (AWS, Bash, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub).
• Database and server administration experience.
• Knowledge of security, usability, and accessibility standards for IT systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and system optimization skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
