We are seeking a Contracts Manager 2 who will be charged with administrative responsibilities supporting the Contracts team. This is a new position and the successful applicant will initially work under supervision and direction from senior Contract professionals. This position will provide growth potential for those seeking to learn about the contract lifecycle (negotiation, award, administration, and closeout). This position can be based in either our Falls Church, VA or Tucson, AZ officesDepending on business needs, up to 20% remote work is permissible after an introductory period. This is an exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.

PrimaryResponsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Contract Managers and other internal staff to complete administrative actions supporting contract proposals, awards, and administration for government/commercial customers.
  • Assist with post-contract award activities such as data mining, audits, file maintenance/management, and tracking of periodic reporting / due dates.
  • Maintain current and accurate company data in various customer online portals.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal communications with various company teams (Finance, Accounting, HR, Quality, Security, IT, and Cybersecurity) to maintain current company data as required for completion of customer required representations, certifications, and surveys.
  • Assist Contract Managers with administrative contract closeout actions, such as completion of forms and coordination with other internal teams, in accordance with company policy.
  • Learn introductory skills in Contract Administration and Government Property Management, to perform back-up support as needed.
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of Contracts, Government Property, and Export Compliance related reference materials (e.g. Contracts policies, procedures, and SharePoint site files).
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Experiences and Background We Look For (Required Skills):
  • Experience working with internal customers and external organizations.
  • Excels at effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues, management and executives.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and scrupulous attention to detail.
  • Solid teamwork skills to develop process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Advanced skills in all MS Office Suite programs.
  • Comfortable learning and working in various customer online portals and software based applications and information systems.

NiceToHave(PreferredSkill):
  • A strong desire to learn about the contract lifecycle, typical administrative contract requirements, and internal/external customer needs.
  • Willingness to learn, research, and understand basic contract terms associated with company representations and certifications.
  • Top Secret national security clearance or ability to obtain the same is preferable.

The salary range for this role is $74,000/yr to $87,000/yr; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills
