Software Engineer needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client in Aurora, CO

Job Description:
In this role, you will be joining a talented team of software engineers who are designing and developing a reusable software foundation to build satellite ground system software.

Job Description:

What You Will Learn
- Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques
- Software lifecycle practices for defense projects
Qualifications You Must Have
- ENG02 - A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant software engineering experience
- ENG04 - A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience with JavaScript and Angular
- Experience developing user interface software
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience developing software using Java
- Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes
- Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot
- Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models
