Job Summary
Design, develop, and evaluate instrumentation & control (I&C) and electrical systems for industrial applications, including nuclear power plants, fuel processing facilities, chemical plants, refineries, and power plants. Work includes compliance with ASME NQA-1, 10CFR50, and 10CFR21 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer and design plant computer systems, control systems, motion control, and electrical systems.
Perform PLC programming (Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 preferred; Siemens/Honeywell a plus) and HMI development.
Prepare technical documentation: design specs, system descriptions, wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and calculations.
Conduct trade studies, proposals, cost/schedule estimates, and technical presentations.
Select components based on specifications and reliability; review vendor capabilities.
Use engineering software (MATLAB, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio, SMAP 3D) for design and analysis.
Troubleshoot, perform testing, and support product development through prototype to production.
Ensure designs meet QA and industry standards (NFPA, UL 508A, IEEE, IEC, DOE).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related) + 2–4 years relevant experience.
Strong engineering fundamentals, technical writing, and design documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ETAP/SKM and electrical analysis a plus.
US Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
FE certification and PE license pursuit preferred.
