QSSHire is partnering with a secure government customer to identify a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support technical delivery in a classified environment. This opportunity is for a true developer with a proven ability to deliver custom ServiceNow applications and integrations.
This role requires 100% on-site work in Chantilly, VA and an active Full Scope Polygraph. You'll join a hands-on technical team building and supporting mission-critical ServiceNow solutions across enterprise IT operations and service delivery.
In This Role, You'll:
* Design, develop, and implement advanced ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, workflows, and integrations.
* Build and maintain automation scripts, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and custom widgets.
* Use GlideRecord to retrieve and update data under varying business conditions.
* Create and consume REST/SOAP APIs to support cross-platform integrations.
* Work with data sources, import sets, and transform maps to ingest data into ServiceNow.
* Build new tables and modify field types based on requirements to streamline data collection and usability.
* Configure UI Policies to manage visibility, read-only access, and mandatory fields.
* Construct UI Actions that align with workflow logic to help users follow processes efficiently.
* Develop Access Control Rules to provide secure, role-based access to sensitive data.
* Manage fix scripts for data updates and backend maintenance.
* Build and maintain Record Producers and Catalog Items to simplify service requests.
* Use AngularJS and ServiceNow Portal components to enhance UI/UX.
* Customize and manipulate Service Portal widgets for front-end performance and accessibility.
* Perform data ingest and migration via import/export functionalities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for workflows, security roles, and access control.
* Participate in two-week Agile sprints, Jira-based ticketing workflows, and peer reviews.
* Conduct QA testing of peer-developed functionality against acceptance criteria.
* Support version-controlled deployments using enterprise DevSecOps tools.
* Deliver technical documentation and assist with platform governance and compliance efforts.
You'll Succeed Here If You Have:
* An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) - this is required.
* 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Glide API.
* Experience delivering secure solutions across core ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, CMDB, custom apps).
* Background in high-side or federal government environments.
* Ability to work independently and proactively in a cleared, on-site setting.
* Strong problem-solving skills in debugging and performance tuning.
Bonus Points If You Have:
* ServiceNow CSA or CAD certifications.
* Experience building scoped applications and custom UI elements.
* Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools.
* Knowledge of Sponsor-specific systems and deployment processes.
