Provide expert cybersecurity assessment, analysis, and strategic recommendations to support the Agency's comprehensive Zero Trust (ZT) deployment. All efforts shall be performed in strict accordance with the principles and guidelines set forth in NIST Special Publication 800-207 (Zero Trust Architecture), NIST Special Publication 800-53 (Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations), and relevant Department of Defense (DoD) Zero Trust Guidelines, ensuring a secure, resilient, and successful ZT implementation across the Agency's operational environment.
Responsibilities:
*Develop and maintain the ZT Project Management Plan (PMP)/ Program Management Support Documentation.
*Provide meeting and reporting support for Zero Trust initiatives. This includes attending and taking detailed meeting notes during weekly progress meetings with the Government Team to capture status, issues, risks, and upcoming activities.
*Consolidate and review information for monthly status reports.
*Participate in, and provide relevant cybersecurity input for, ad-hoc technical and programmatic reviews as requested by the government ZT Program Manager.
*Coordinate to ensure alignment and identify dependencies for Zero Trust responsibilities making recommendations related to Zero Trust implementation.
*Coordinate the delivery of the comprehensive report detailing the findings of the assessment and gap analysis, including prioritized recommendations for Zero Trust implementation, technology insertions, and an implementation plan for achieving target maturity levels.
*Coordinate the development of the Zero Trust implementation plan, which includes release timelines, dependencies, resource requirements, and integration points with existing systems. Ensuring the plan prioritizes efforts to achieve target maturity levels within DoD-mandated Zero Trust compliance targets, facilitating communication and collaboration among involved parties.
*Coordinate with relevant Agency policy owners and stakeholders in the drafting or updating of Agency policies, standards, and procedures to support the Zero Trust model, including access control policies, data handling policies, and incident response procedures.
*Coordinate and support the comprehensive discovery and inventory of assets (users, devices, applications, data stores, network segments, cloud services, etc.) within the defined scope. This task will primarily involve coordinating with owners and existing IT inventory systems, utilizing existing Agency tools and processes where possible, and proposing new tools as necessary for the Government to consider.
Requirements:
Active Secret security clearance
At least 7-10 years of related experience
DoD IAM III required certification/s (one of the following):
o CISM
o CISSP (or Associate)
o GSLC
PMP REQUIRED
