Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Liverpool, NY (onsite role)
Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Pay: $50/hr.-$60/hr.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Engineer to lead and manage the implementation and execution of quality requirements throughout the entire program life cycle — from proposal and contract review to production and support. This role serves as the Quality Lead, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Lead quality efforts across design, development, production, and mobilization phases.
Perform contract reviews and flow down quality requirements to teams and suppliers.
Establish quality budgets and monitor cost commitments.
Serve on Risk and Opportunity Review Boards, identifying and managing risks/opportunities.
Ensure Quality Assurance Plans are current, documented, and implemented.
Plan and conduct program assessments and quality audits.
Support independent program reviews and develop Return-to-Green action plans.
Maintain relationships with DCMA and customer quality representatives.
Establish and maintain an effective Quality Program Team business rhythm.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 9+ years of professional experience, or Master’s with 7+ years.
Quality engineering or quality management background.
Experience with program startup processes, First Article Inspections, and quality requirement flowdown.
Understanding of hardware and supplier quality processes.
Experience in production, manufacturing, or process engineering.
Proven experience leading projects or teams.
Desired Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Previous program quality or program management experience.
Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 standards.
Risk identification and mitigation expertise.
Formal root cause analysis experience.
Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM).
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification.
