MTSI is looking for a Software Test Engineer (Journeyman) in the Huntsville, AL area. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating the PATRIOT Tactical System and developing and executing test cases that will be used to Verify and Validate the Flight Mission Simulator / Digital (FMS/D) program at S3I, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, Revise, Execute Test Cases (Adhoc or Planned Test Cycles)
- Develop and Revise Test Artifacts/TC Inputs (Configuration Files, DTED, Enumerations, & Scripts)
- Document and Verify Test Executions (Online, Online with Offline Signature, Online with Electronic Signature, or Offline)
- Document and submit test case execution findings/issues to Senior Testers or Test Lead
- Conduct Adhoc Testing on specific branch builds as required to support analysis and/or development
- Conduct Adhoc Testing on specific branch builds as required to support collection of mean time of Test Case execution - Provide data to Senior Tester or Test Lead
- Review Test Cases written by other Team Members
- Status Project Management Tasks (currently GitLab is used)
- Collect Product (FMS/D, IRON, LOTN, L2) Data and Data Collection System (DCS) data for each execution
- Reviews and provides updates to Product User's Manuals and other Project Documentation
- Support Users/Operators when needed - either deployed or in the local labs
- Low level data parsing and analysis (DARTS, DCS, Parse, and Parameter)
- Familiarize/Expand Domain Knowledge of the systems our products are used with (Tactical and Non-Tactical Patriot ECS & ICC, IBCS RIU, EOC)
- Identify Off-Nominal Paths that need to be added to the Off Nominal Test Case
- Respond to data calls via email, teams, or text when requested
- Update Daily Quad Charts (when used)
- Attend team meetings when scheduled
- May be asked to perform tasks which enhance the Test Team's Test Coverage
- May be asked to perform tasks which would be expected from a Senior Tester (with assistance)
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, software development, or related discipline from an Accredited College
- 5-10 years of software test experience
- Strong Linux Domain Knowledge
- Strong Software Test experience
- Exposure to C/C++ Engineering Application experience

Desired Skills
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Software Test Case development and execution. Army Air Defense Tactical System experience is a plus.
- Experience with workflows in the GitLab DEVSECOPS tools.
- Strong familiarity and understanding of Linux operating system.
