Junior Geospatial Analyst

Location: Offutt AFB, NE (USSTRATCOM J2)
Clearance Required: Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility
Travel: Up to 4 trips/year for technical exchanges and conferences
Position Summary

Provide foundational GIS support for USSTRATCOM J2, focusing on data editing, spatial analysis, and assisting with GIS database management and automation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or 4 years' military experience in a related field.
  • At least three years' proficiency with Environmental Systems Research Institute's ArcGIS Enterprise software, knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards, and familiarity with current USSTRATCOM GIS systems and processes to include Machine Learning and Automation concepts.
  • Minimum 3 years' GIS experience focusing on data editing, spatial analysis, and ArcGIS Pro.
  • At least three years' relevant experience and education in geospatial sciences performing spatial analysis.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Pro, GeoEvent Server, ArcPy, and Python scripting; experience with DoD IT security standards (DISA STIGs, FedRAMP) and spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
  • Demonstrated experience with dynamic data connections (REST API and others) and system integration.
  • Ability to travel to technical exchanges and industry conferences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct spatial analysis and data editing using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Assist with GIS data management and maintenance of spatial datasets.
  • Support automation of routine GIS tasks using ArcPy scripting.
  • Participate in technical documentation and on-the-job familiarization.
