Job Description
McBride is looking for a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) System Engineer to join the Force Protection Branch (AFLCMC/HBU) Team at Hanscom AFB. The assigned RAM Engineer will work in direct support of government Branch leadership, logisticians, engineers, and program managers through the acquisition cycle of the program.
You will be responsible for the following:
1. Analyze and evaluate reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools across the Force Protection Division in order to improve MTTR, MTBF, MTR and Ao
2. Develop and improve methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards
3. Assist in the implementation of robust logistics and sustainment support processes to address reliability requirements with fielded Intrusion Detection systems (IDS) within fixed site USAF bases located within CONUS and OCONUS Area of Operations
4. Assist the HBUA Logistics team with the predictive maintenance measures based off RAM calculations
5. Develop and lead Division Level Integrated Product Team (IPT) to synchronize multi-functional approach ensuring prudent and accurate recommendations are provided to Government leadership
6. Provide input to multiple Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) logistics documentation which may include drafting and reviewing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSPs), RFPs, SOWs, PWSs, Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), CDRLs, SEPs, LCMPs, Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Orders, FCA/PCA documents, and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR)
7. Expand reliability Provide RAM analyses of the development /sustainment contractor’s ILS program, data deliveries, pre-award surveys, design reviews, and support-related testing
8. Utilize Government provided database (Integrated Maintenance Management System (IMMS) as source for all reliability metrics
9. Recommend RAM software improvements to SW developers as appropriated based off coordinated input from all stakeholders
10. Utilize fleet of DoD developed Reliability tools in the management of Developing logistics instructions for operational organizations regarding field implementations of system logistics concepts
11. Coordinate procurement of logistics deliverables (e.g., spares, support equipment, and training support)
12. Integrate system upgrade documentation into logistics information repositories
13. Support provisioning, inventory and asset management, inventory and asset accountability, and site surveys
Requirements
1. 15 years of directly related experience with 8 years of experience in a DoD setting
2. Experience on Dept of Defense or Air Force acquisition programs is highly desired.
3. Demonstrated experience in Reliability Engineering preferably within the Department of Defense realm, but civilian disciplines equivalents will be considered
4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on engineering teams and integrated product teams to guide the team(s) towards the required reliability goal
5. Experience with the lifecycle logistics and sustainment needs of computer related equipment that supports operational weapon systems
6. Experience with reliability assessments
7. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, and development.
8. Ability to develop and analyze RAM data to determine predictive maintenance outcomes
9. Experience performing and documenting reliability assessments using industry standard tools and data
