As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security, and data management issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts. The ERS Division is seeking a qualified and proactive candidate to provide Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Cybersecurity support. The candidate will work with a small team to secure and defend Facility Related Control Systems supporting Marine Corps critical infrastructure.
The Control Systems Engineer/Inspector SME will report directly to the ERS Division Director and build on the team’s knowledge of Facility Related Control Systems Architecture, Engineering and Cybersecurity. This is an onsite position working directly with the customer. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and commission DDC systems across building automation platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric, Daikin, LG, JCI) & SCADA PLC (Water, wastewater, electrical)
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and commissioning agents through all phases of MILCON project execution.
• Interpret and apply Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and other DoD design standards to DDC integration and control system requirements.
• Participate in facility condition assessments and development of basis of design documents and sequence of operations.
• Provide field engineering support during construction, start-up, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure cyber-secure architecture of DDC networks in coordination with FRCS cybersecurity policies.
• Assess system performance and identify malfunctions on multiple FRCS types
• Perform performative maintenance and continuous monitoring functions across multiple FRCS platforms
• Respond and correct system alarms and emergencies.
• Analyze system data to assist in identifying system deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
• Provide remediation recommendations to address system issues.
• Work with cyber, network, and sysadmin teams in facilitation of system compliance and function according to DOD guidance.
• Participate in conferences, workgroups, meetings and other required events.
• Travel to supported installations and required locations to provide related FRCS expertise.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field and a minimum of 4 years or a at least 10 years experience maintaining DDC systems.
• Minimum four years of experience designing or maintaining DDC systems in commercial, industrial, or DoD settings.
• Familiarity with MILCON project execution processes and building design requirements.
• Understanding of control logic, BACnet/MSTP, Modbus, LonWorks and proprietary protocols.
• Experience working with construction drawings, specifications, and control submittals.
• Ability to interface with government stakeholders, contractors, and engineering partners.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
• Ability to maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of DoD-specific systems such as DDCx, UFC 3-410-02, UFC 4-010-06 or DoD cybersecurity requirements for BAS systems.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED credentials, or equivalent
• Ability to read and speak Korean
