As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security, and data management issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts. The ERS Division is seeking a qualified and proactive candidate to provide Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and Cybersecurity support. The candidate will work with a small team to secure and defend Facility Related Control Systems supporting Marine Corps critical infrastructure.

The Senior FRCS/OT System/Network Administrator will report directly to the ERS Division Director and build on the team’s knowledge of Facility Related Control Systems Architecture, Engineering and Cybersecurity. This is an onsite position working directly with the customer. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and related network infrastructure within OT environments.
• Assess compliance using NIST, DoD, USMC and other security requirements to include the CNSSI 1253 Security controls and DISA STIGs/SRGs
• Administer and optimize firewalls for SCADA and control systems, ensuring secure perimeter and segmentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to document network components and security posture in systems like eMASS.
• Support secure connectivity for ICS/SCADA components such as PLCs and HMIs.
• Monitor network performance and respond to security incidents related to OT networking.
• Analyze assessment data to identify system deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
• Provide remediation recommendations to address vulnerabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement of network capabilities through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices in computer network defense. Assess their potential impact on the organization and make recommendations for proactive measures.
• Participate in conferences, workgroups, meetings and other required events.
• Travel to supported installations and required locations to provide related cybersecurity expertise.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related field and at least 10 years of experience performing Systems and/or Network administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Cisco-based networks and Palo Alto firewalls in industrial or control system environments.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in DOD security controls to include DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) system compliance, baselining and automation in accordance with DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with RMF package development and cybersecurity hardening for OT systems.
• DoD 8140 compliant
• Minimum of 4 years experience performing cybersecurity vulnerability and patch management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
• Ability to maintain a US Government Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with USMC IT and OT/FRCS Systems and cybersecurity processes
• Hands-on experience with SCADA/ICS protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and securing their communications.
• Knowledge of VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPNs, NAT, and advanced firewall rule sets.
• SYSLOG & SIEM
• Configuration Control/Change management
• POA&M documentation creation and management
• MCCAST and/or EMASS Experience
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GICSP, CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE
• Ability to read and speak Japanese
