Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Master DAS Technician to support wireless infrastructure projects for a state and local government client. This position is fully on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee, and involves leading the installation, testing, and maintenance of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) across high-profile public venues.

Salary Range: $65,000-72,000 (based on experience)

Responsibilities of the Master DAS Technician include:
- Supervise installations of various cable types (coaxial, fiber, Cat 5/6) in commercial environments.
- Oversee all projects, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Install components and equipment per manufacturer and company specifications.
- Use hand, power, and specialty tools effectively and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Work across diverse environments, including stadiums, hospitals, schools, and office buildings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and tools.
- Complete documentation and paperwork accurately.
- Deliver high-quality work to maintain customer confidence.
Qualifications for the Master DAS Technician include:
- 3+ years of technical experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with project-specific OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory, including grounding principles.
- Proficiency with industry-specific tools, such as:
- OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)
- Fusion splicer
- Coaxial line sweep equipment
- Computer literacy, including:
- Excel
- Word
- Adobe
- Data recording/sharing applications
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies in public safety and wireless communications.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and bills of material.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Strong time management and independence in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills .
- Proven reliability, integrity, and responsibility .
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed .
