Description

The role as a pipeline engineer would be to spend a portion of time supporting the current infrastructure operations (incidents, requests, cloud migration efforts) while using this operational insight to drive larger automation and engineering efforts such as implementing canary deployments, standing up a load testing tool, GitLab CI/CD with GitLab Runner, database deployment automation through Liquibase, horizontal pod scaling, etc. We are intending this role for a junior practitioner who will learn on the job from experienced engineers on the team, thus aptitude to problem solve and learn new skillsets is a must.

Requirements

  • Work operational DevSecOps tasks, incidents, and larger platform changes.
  • Identify, scope, and implement infrastructure changes and automations though agile sprints that need to be made to increase platform stability.
  • Work these as enhancement projects through our agile sprints.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with teams including application teams, migration, observability, defense ops, and incident response.
  • Identify gaps in operations documentation and work with engineers on the team to build useful guides.

Qualifications:
  • Secret security clearance.
  • A Security+ certification (can be taken while onboarding).
  • An aptitude to problem-solve and learn new skillsets.
  • A basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably in OCI.
  • A basic understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and Rancher/RKE2.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Cloud certifications form AWS, Azure, or OCI
  • Familiarity with Jira and basic agile best practices
  • Basic scripting and automation skills.?

Technologies: Pipeline infrastructure and application deployments through GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and Rancher / RKE2.
