Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking an experienced Program Manager to provide management oversight and resources needed to execute the contract requirements for the Army Materiel Command (AMC), Chief Information Office (CIO) across a wide range of cybersecurity tasks. The Program manager will be responsible for strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring projects align with business objectives, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical/management leadership for all requirements and establish goals and plans that meet project and program requirements from inception to completion.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for cybersecurity modernization, aligning them with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST , FISMA , RMF ) and regulatory requirements, mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Drive initiatives to modernize and automate cybersecurity processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Interaction involves client negotiations and interfacing with senior management, internal and external leadership and technical experts and serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan, initiate, manage IT projects and lead and manage cross-functional teams of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering high performance.
  • Develop, manage, coordinate and present various informational products including:
    • Monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
    • Weekly senior management meetings
    • Sprint Sprint/Iteration Dashboards
    • Cumulative Flow Diagram
    • Capacity Planning Dashboard
    • Sprint Retrospective Summary
  • Author, develop, deliver and maintain program management delivery requirements (PMI, PMP) to include Transition Plans and Program Management Plan to detail successful execution of requirements.
  • Oversee Program Staffing, Retention, security, and contract compliance.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving all employee timesheets and conducting periodic performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for conducting interviews with technical experts and developing knowledge transfer and training curriculum artifacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or business-related programs
  • 10+ years of experience in project and program management, with at least 7+ years specifically managing large scale cybersecurity projects and programs that include on-premises and cloud-based cybersecurity implementations
  • 5+ years of DoD experience.
    • Experience with managing a team of 30+ employees, and subcontractors.
  • Program Management Certification (PMP) required
  • Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) preferred
  • Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must understand cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Must have high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and possess advanced skills and knowledge in programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Expertise in various methodologies like Agile DevSecOps and CI/CD, alongside tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation, and leadership skills to effectively coordinate teams and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools like SIEM systems, firewalls, VPNs, data encryption, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and endpoint protection.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with internal teams (IT, legal, business), external partners, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
