Responsibilities

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness-so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We're looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools-and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevOps engineer at EverWatch, you'll streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-create. You'll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. Qualifications

You Have:
  • 10+ years working in an Agile dev environment
  • 10+ years of system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read the code and understand the coding logic to assist in troubleshooting
  • 10+ years' experience managing/monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers for optimal performance while working in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment
  • Experience with Windows system administration, system monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency and performance
  • Experience with Git at a fluent or proficient level
  • Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment preferred
  • Experience in object oriented programming and experience in at least one programming language such as Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Linux environments (RHEL 617/8, RHCSNRHCE CentOS)
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle models, agile, and DevOps programming methodologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science field and 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, software integrator or devops engineer


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with acquiring in-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk, and understand varied customer deployments.
  • Ability to successfully work with customers, developers, testing, project management, and support staff
  • Possesion of excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Posession of excelelnt verbal and written communications skills


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,000 /year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,000 /year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of full paid medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
