Mount Indie is seeking a Program Manager to provide execution oversight and strategic leadership for a portfolio of programs within a dynamic business area. Operating in the U.S. Government contracting space, this role focuses on managing technical programs that deliver secure, resilient, and tactical communications systems. The Program Manager will be accountable for meeting cost, schedule, and technical performance goals while also identifying and driving opportunities for business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage execution of networking and communications programs across full life cycle phases: concept, development, integration, test, and deployment.
- Ensure alignment with platform-specific requirements for military aviation systems.
- Develop and manage detailed program plans, including cost, schedule, and risk.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance and compliance.
- Lead program reviews, risk management meetings, and deliver accurate status reports.
Business Area Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategy for the business area.
- Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for the business area with annual targets for revenue, profit, and sales pipeline.
- Working with the Growth and Capture team, drive capture and proposal efforts aligned with DoD acquisition processes and aviation platform requirements.
- Engage directly with customers to shape requirements and grow business pipeline.
- Represent the company at industry and government events to showcase technology offerings.
- Monitor market trends and acquisition priorities in communications, avionics, and airborne tactical networks.
Team Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and oversight for program managers and technical leads.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Support talent development and team staffing in alignment with business area growth.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance or willing to obtain/maintain clearance
- Attention to detail and proactive management style with strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of program management experience in U.S. Government contracting.
- Proven experience delivering programs involving tactical communications, network systems, or secure data.
- Familiarity with defense acquisition process working with program management offices (PMA/PMW/PEO)
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle, and/or OTA contracting mechanisms.
- Strong financial and project management skills (EVMS, forecasting, budgeting).
- PMP certification or equivalent required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience and familiarity with government/military program offices (PMA/PMW/PEO).
- Experience managing P&L of $10M+ revenue and $100M+ unfactored pipeline.
- Technical background in RF communications, airborne networks, or embedded systems.
- Experience working with classified programs and secure development environments.
- Understanding of aviation systems integration, including SWaP-C constraints.
- Capture and proposal development leadership for defense communications programs.
Travel
- This role may require travel up to 25%, including to customer sites and field test locations.
