Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to oversee all cybersecurity aspects of the migration and modernization of DoD data centers in Europe. This includes ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements, managing risk, and integrating security technologies into designs and migration activities. The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will coordinate with systems, network, and application teams to ensure that all migration activities maintain security posture and regulatory compliance.

This includes ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements, managing risk, and integrating security technologies into designs and migration activities. The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will coordinate with systems, network, and application teams to ensure that all migration activities maintain security posture and regulatory compliance.
Core Role Responsibilities:
- Lead security planning and risk assessment for migration events.
- Manage RMF processes, NIST 800-53 control compliance, and cyber change requests.
- Oversee updates to cyber authorization packages and security documentation.
- Direct the work of cybersecurity engineers and tool specialists.
- Develop and maintain security architecture diagrams and boundary definitions.
- Ensure secure implementation and operation of data center security technologies.
Technical Knowledge & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, and NIST 800-53 controls.
- Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR, firewalls, proxies, and boundary devices.
- Familiarity with DoD Zero Trust strategies and mandates.
- Proficient in vulnerability management and secure configuration practices.
- Capable of leading incident response during migration activities.
- Prefer experience using automation and scripting languages relevant to cybersecurity related functions (e.g., Powershell or Bash/Python for security tools).
- Prefer experience developing scripts or using automation frameworks to streamline configuration management, system provisioning, monitoring, and reporting in enterprise data center environments.
