Job Summary:
TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team and support enterprise-level network infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network environments, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based networking solutions.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal reliability and uptime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and IT initiatives.
Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
Perform capacity planning and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in network engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar network hardware.
Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, network automation, and scripting (Python, Ansible) preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP) are highly desirable.
