Technical Writer II

Mayvin is actively seeking a Technical Writer II to provide support to the Office of Professional Responsibility of the U.S. Marshals Service. The Technical Writer must demonstrate strong technical writing capabilities and have between three to five years of experience in policy development or project management.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI)

Responsibilities:

• Writing and drafting policy directives, the strategic plan, and other related documents
• Supporting the strategic planning and policy development process
• Editing and proofreading policy directives and the strategic plan for grammatical errors, formatting issues, and content inconsistencies
• Planning, reviewing, and managing the policy flow during the review process, and uploading the policy onto the policy webpage using MS SharePoint
• Organizing files for policy directives and strategic planning
• Gathering information from various sources, analyzing data, and recommending process improvements
• Providing additional general support, such as tracking policy directives and the strategic planning process, and delivering weekly and monthly status reports, etc

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have a minimum of three years of specialized experience in the duties described above
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous editing experience as a Technical Writer supporting a government agency
