Job Description: IT Systems Administrator & COMSEC support analyst
Aquarian Systems is seeking a dynamic IT Systems Administrator to join a growing contract with the DHS. This role involves managing and administering their COMSEC support IT infrastructure, including server administration and database management. You will support the DHS Central Office of Record in the distribution of encryption services across the department. Responsibilities include ensuring IT system availability, data integrity and security, and providing comprehensive system and COMSEC support to the COR.
Key Responsibilities:
-Database and System Administration:
-Develop SQL queries for effective data management and insights.
-Manage and maintain Apache httpd, Tomcat, and Oracle Databases on Windows Servers in a secure environment.
-Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
-System, Account Management, Training and User Support:
-Manage the COMSEC application IT System (currently CARDs)
-Manage user accounts, system permissions, and resolve discrepancies
-Help with build-out of test environment for new software
-Order and manage cryptographic keys and related equipment.
-Conduct regular system inventories and audits.
-Provide regular training sessions and ad hoc support for system users.
-Support field accounts with various IT and security devices.
-Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team and DHS objectives.
Security and Compliance:
-Assist in the ATO process as an alternate Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
-Respond to security data calls and surveys, compile monthly vulnerability metrics.
-Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance documentation.
-Ensure system compliance with DHS and NSA security policies.

Experience:
System administration: 2 years (Preferred)
Database management and administration: 2 years (Preferred)
Security Clearance: Top Secret (Required)
Preferred Skills:
-CompTIA Security+ Cert: Minimum requirement (can be completed on the job).
-Database Management: Proficiency in SQL query development and Database management (preferably Oracle)
-System Administration: Experience with Windows Server, Tomcat, etc.
-Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
-ISSO Support: Knowledge of ISSO roles and responsibilities.
-IT Equipment: Familiarity with controlled IT and COMSEC equipment.
