Responsibilities:
Duties performed On-site in support of Marine Corps Training and Education Command.
- Collect data in support of Trends Reversal Reinforcement Program (TRRP) from Service Level Training Exercises (SLTE), Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluations (MCCRE), and other Training & Education Command (TECOM) Programs.
- Conduct analysis to identify and compile Service-Level systemic trends and best practices.
Track, maintain and update the TRRP Actionable items Matrix as they relate to MAGTFTC units.
- Contribute to the semi-annual MCCRE Trends Compliance Report to Marine Forces Command.
- Contribute to the TECOM Semi-annual Systemic Trends Report.
- Contribute to the briefing products requested by Performance Management and Analysis (PM&A) customers to support and inform the Commanding General (CG) of TECOM.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in data analytics or similar field
- Marine Corps experience that included staff level positions within a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) organization (Marine Expeditionary Unit equivalent or above). The individual will be assigned specialized team responsibilities based upon preponderance of military career experience in one of the four following areas: USMC Aviation, Ground Combat arms (infantry, artillery, armor, etc.), Logistics (includes Combat Engineer, Construction, Facilities & Equipment, Ground Ordnance Maintenance, Ammunition & EOD, Supply, Motor Transport, etc.), or Command & Control (C2) ( C2 backgrounds can include Communications, Intelligence, MAGTF-Planner, Signals Intel/Ground Electronic Warfare, Aviation Command and Control.)
- Experienced in an Operations Research and System Analysis (ORSA)-centric work environment, including, but not limited to participating in and assimilating outputs from predictive modeling, simulation, text mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and design of experiments.
- A working knowledge of Performance Management data analysis using industry accepted statistical tools and software.
- Ability to work independently, have excellent communication and analytical skills. These skills are required to compile, analyze, and synthesize large volumes of complex data, then concisely describe this synthesis via briefing presentations or discussions with senior leadership. The individual must be proficient using web-based databases, various data search tools and demonstrate an ability to track tasks to their completion.
