ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer

Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
Lead the definition, design, verification, and documentation of ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) and FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) for advanced defense systems. This role spans architecture, simulation, synthesis, and testing throughout the ASIC/FPGA development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Define architecture, module interfaces, and detailed design approach.
- Perform system simulation, synthesis, place & route, timing, and power analysis.
- Develop test and simulation plans, establish functional criteria, and verify results.
- Evaluate foundry technologies, device libraries, and vendor capabilities.
- Support technical product generation using industry standards, processes, and tools.
- Select components based on specification and reliability analysis.
- Contribute to process improvements for ASIC/FPGA engineering.
- Research and analyze customer specifications to determine design feasibility.
- Collaborate with internal teams, project leaders, and external customers as needed.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Education: Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field + 5+ years relevant experience (or Master's + 3 years).
- Clearance: Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance
- Required Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in ASIC/FPGA design concepts, principles, and processes.
- SystemVerilog fluency.
- Proficient in ASIC/FPGA design tools (synthesis, simulation, timing, and power analysis).
- Strong understanding of related engineering disciplines.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently under limited direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microchip PolarFire devices.
