Advanced Systems Engineer - Undersea Hardware Systems
Location: McLeansville, NC
Responsibilities:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a Systems Engineer for Maritime and Strategic Systems, you’ll join a cross functional team responsible for growing an exciting new undersea business area - Seaborne Platform Systems. We are growing through a combination of existing Programs of Record, new concept development and White Papers, rapid hardware development and test, and Trade Study efforts with industry partners. We need motivated and creative Systems Engineers to join our team.
Background / education in the Systems Engineering of Mechanical Systems, undersea experience is a significant bonus.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
1. Experience in the concept development phase to include White Papers, Trade Studies, and Rapid Prototyping/Test.
2. Experience in high-level requirements decomposition through test strategy, planning, fixtures, hands-on test execution, and reporting.
3. Experience with undersea hardware to include cables, cable handling equipment, and other mechanical hardware and equipment.
