Must design and produce computer and freehand graphic images/layouts for print, web, and multimedia applications (generally, multimedia applications are interactive Acrobat PDFs). Projects must include design and creation of logos, illustrations, flyers, web pages, brochures, pamphlets, posters, certificates, newsletters, briefings, slideshows, and various other internal materials – primarily for print.
• Develop and maintain graphics libraries on a Coast Guard provided file share that are readily available for customer use. The libraries should be well organized, indexed, and easily accessible to customers. Customers should also be able to preview all library images.
• Assist customers with converting graphics files from one format to another.
• Prepare/optimize graphic files for commercial print production.
• Research, evaluate and test new methods of designing, laying out and producing computer graphic images.
• Make recommendations for acquiring new computer graphics hardware and software and for improvements to existing computer graphics systems and associated customer support processes to the Government based on this research, evaluation and testing.
• Assist customers with designing and producing computer graphic images/layouts by providing personal instruction in the use of computer graphics systems to include, but not limited to Adobe CS Suite.
• Create and produce customized marketing materials to include print and web-based media.
• Assist with updating and maintaining web pages, and sites, to include SharePoint portal pages and sites. This includes uploading a set of images to a SharePoint-based image library each week.
• Manage and maintain the project queue of customer requests using the SharePoint-based request/tracking system provided by the Coast Guard. The contractor is responsible for workload management of requests while taking into account the general priorities provided by the Government Team Lead.
• For all new customer requests, the contractor must determine if it is feasible to accommodate the customers proposed due dates based upon the complexity of the requested project, current project queue status, and any higher priority work established for BNCR. The contractor must inform the customer of the specific response date for fulfilling the request before beginning work on any project.
• Inform the Government Team Lead of any necessary changes to established project due dates. The contractor must advise the Government Team Lead of such unplanned changes as soon as possible, and the Government Team Lead will inform the customer of such schedule or project completion date changes accordingly.
• Keep customers informed on a weekly basis concerning active projects and respond within three business days to customer inquiries regarding project status.
• Technically capable and provide assistance to walk-in customers in the PRC with using peripherals and hardware including large format printers, engraving machines, scanners, laminators, auto-paper folders, and binders.
