We are recruiting for senior level Systems Engineer to support a lead role. This position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated start in Fall 2025.

Job Type: Full Time salary + hardship pay
Location: On-site Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti
Duration: 12-months
Security Clearance: Current Secret

The Systems Engineer - Lead will work as part of an overseas team living and working from Camp Lemonnier. Qualified candidates will have prior experience supporting this type of technical task management role and delivering technical solutions in an austere environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and demonstrated abilities to interact directly with the customer. Must be available to support a 12-month deployment. A one-week U.S. trip will be provided after six months of deployment.

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work as part of a collaborative team supporting onsite technical activities in a deployed field operations environment
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software supporting network configuration and end-users
• Adhere to all systems security controls and requirements for implementation, documentation, and testing
• Maintain network architecture for system including baseline configuration and configuration management
• Support system ongoing system maintenance and continued operation of system
• Develop and maintain system documentation including baseline changes and impacts
• Support hardware and software troubleshooting for all components to identify and implement local resolutions or coordinate remote troubleshooting
• Work within a project management structure to integrate and maintain solution software and hardware
• Perform and coordinate team providing on-site installations, repairs, management, and maintenance
• Coordinate with corporate team for technical support to identify and replace hardware and software components
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Support logistics coordination for shipping, receiving, transportation
• Support preventative scheduled system maintenance

Requirements include:

• U.S. citizenship
• Current Secret clearance (at a minimum)
• Current U.S. passport
• Ability to complete pre-travel authorizations including health and dental checks
• Availability to support 12-month deployment with one return trip after 6 months
• 8+ years of related experience as Systems Engineer or Field Service Engineer providing on-site and remote system administration and technical solutions support
• Experience supporting DoD technical environments
• Current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification meeting DoD 8570 requirements
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets
• Proficient knowledge of networking security protocols and implementation such as IPSec, TLS, GRE, tunneling concepts, Enterprise PKI and Certificate Authorities
• Proficiency with IP networking, routing protocols, server-client relationship, and internet technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP, and LDAP
• Demonstrated expertise installing and configuring servers, routers, and switches
• Strong Linux background
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies
• Demonstrated documentation experience including developing and maintaining system documentation for issues, resolutions, configuration management, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with problem solving and troubleshooting technical solutions
• Ability to successfully interact with technical and functional team members including direct interaction with customer
  
  

Preferred experience includes:

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a related technical or engineering discipline is preferred
• Cisco expertise, CCNA is preferred
• Prior military experience is highly desired
• Technical proficiency with cellular networking such as 5G, GSM, VoIP, SIP, and IP networking is preferred
• Experience working with Line of Site networking is preferred
• Experience working with Android and iOS applications such as Teams, ATAK is preferred
