Position Summary
ODME Solutions is looking for a Software Developer to join our team in supporting our Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) customers in San Diego, CA. In this role, you’ll contribute to software design, development, integration and modification of the Navy scheduling software application that follows Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM DI) allocation requirements.
Position Requirements
Perform development and engineering tasks in support of the web-enabled Navy deployment and employment planning and scheduling capabilities by using Navy, DOD, and industry standards and protocols.
Perform engineering tasks including design, development, integration, installation, and documentation of new and existing functionality in support of the program’s web-based planning and execution capability.
Analyze existing Navy planning and scheduling system and software capabilities and other Technology Transition Ready operational planning and scheduling tools used by the Navy Force Provider user community.
Support the development of new predictive analysis tool sets to enable enhanced comparison between proposed changes to the Navy Unit Deployment Schedule.
Support the development of an application which will enable fleet users to create, update, share and publish schedules of the deployments of all Navy operationally employable units.
Support software deliverables in accordance with DEVSECOPS software practices outlined in the DoD Enterprise DEVSECOPS Reference Design.
Implement the Development, Security, Operations (DEVSECOPS) process and procedures to facilitate rapid delivery of capabilities to the fleet.
Preferred Experience
3–6 years of hands-on software development or engineering experience
Strong DEVSECOPS experience
AWS Cloud experience
Linux/UNIX systems and administration experience
Experience with Navy C4I systems and DoD engineering practices
Agile/SCRUM project experience
Required Experience
Languages and Frameworks:
Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, .NET, Node, Linux, React, Cesium, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat, OpenShift, and AWS.
Industry-standard tools:
