As a SUPERVISORY IT PROJECT MANAGER at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Responsible for planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, making changes in work assignments and workflow and
    balancing workload among subordinates to increase overall effectiveness of human capital operations, as well as ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Provide advice, counsel, and instruction to accomplish the assigned functions.
  • Implements best practices to achieve goals and objectives, collaborating closely with IT service providers and other stakeholders.
  • Tracks and assesses contract performance, either directly as the assigned Contracting Officer's Representative or collaborating closely with them, to provide assessments to guide and improve both current and future contract outcomes.

  • The incumbent must be able to acquire and retain Top Secret Security Clearance. Position may include additional program security requirements in order to fully perform the duties and reviews responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Directing IT projects involving the development of administrative, regulatory, policy development, or comparable technical programs;
  • Directing technical operations within large, complex installations;
  • Assessing IT systems and service issues and directing actions to ensure improved, integrated enterprise solutions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210 series.

  • Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
