HOW A COLLECTIVE STAFF TRAINER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.
- Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel
- Utilizes expertise and experience in staff training best practices, industry requirements, and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.
- Possess a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skill set with a specialization in a particular technology or WfF. Keeps abreast of doctrinal, operational, and tactical training methodology as well as technological developments and trends.
- Requires approximately two years of additional experience as a Training and Development Specialist.
- Plans coordinate and execute unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps.
- Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.
- Serves in a mentorship or observer/trainer role when requested.
- Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
- Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BS or BA degree, subject immaterial or have completed Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC)
- Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related experience in military supervisory and Engineer Regiment's operational force experience.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge and ability to train individuals in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and command post operations.
- Experience in operations, planning, and training requirements at a battalion or higher level, have a background in training management,
- Thorough understanding of Protection and C2 and their inter-dependencies with the other warfighting functions
- Successfully served as a former battalion or brigade S3 or XO in an Engineer unit
- Preferred Skills:
- Served in any of the following positions: en Battalion Commander; Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer/Controller; Small Group Instructor; SAMS or lead planner; Primary or deputy general staff officer
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond and communicate with senior military leaders.
- OIF/OND/OEF experience.
- Working knowledge of scenario development
- Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance required to start
- Additional Details: Normal work schedule is 0730-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements, night or weekend work shifts may be required.
- Location: Mission Training Complex (MTC), Fort Hood, TX;
- Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, as required
