Description:Seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manager to lead our Marietta Airworthiness team, responsible for ensuring the airworthiness certification, flight clearances, and continued airworthiness of various aircraft programs, including AMMM (C-5, C-130, P-3) and Marietta ADP. The successful candidate will also serve as the Head of Airworthiness Support Group (HSG) Lead for European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMAR) projects.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 13 employees in achieving airworthiness certification, flight clearances, and continued airworthiness for assigned programs
  • Develop and implement airworthiness strategies, plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve government certification for flight test, production, and sustainment
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Lockheed Martin program offices, customer airworthiness authorities, and functional teams (e.g., Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, Chief Engineer Office, TechPubs, Production, Contracts, and Flight Line)
  • Ensure alignment of Lockheed Martin proposals, contractual requirements, and airworthiness processes with customer requirements
  • Manage team performance, including staffing, training, development, and performance management
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve submittals in support of flight clearance milestones
  • Operate autonomously as needed, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders

    This position will report directly to the Airworthiness
    Senior Manager.

You should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with leadership on both the customer and supplier side.     MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

    Basic Qualifications:
    - A Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    - Experience working with either FAA/NAVAIR/USAF
    customers.
    - Experience with leadership and management.
    - Must be a U.S. Citizen, as this position requires a government security clearance. Additionally, this position is located at a facility that requires special access, and candidates must be eligible to obtain the necessary clearance and access.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
