We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer SME to lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex and diverse software systems. This role requires a high level of technical leadership and collaboration with both contract teams and government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development efforts for advanced software systems including real-time processing, large-scale data analytics, and business information systems
Provide technical direction and oversight to the development team
Ensure adherence to software design and development methodologies
Review, test, and validate software components and document results
Resolve software problem reports and implement fixes
Guide hardware/software trade-off decisions and promote COTS/GOTS reuse
Analyze system requirements and decompose them into actionable software components
Required Skills
14+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a government contracting environment
Proficiency in:
Java
Linux
Maven
Git
Nexus
Airflow
Kubernetes
NiFi
YAML
SQL
Trino
Strong experience in secure system development and deployment
Ability to synthesize system-level requirements and translate into technical solutions
Certifications
Required: Security+ (IAT Level II)
Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance
