As a Security Officer - Distribution Center - Access Control in Beech Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and identify any unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters in a professional manner.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations, assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
