Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is actively seeking a seasoned Training Specialist to support an anticipated contract acquisition in support of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) as it establishes a forward detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in leading, developing, and optimizing training programs for shipboard systems that are critical to fleet mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
This role demands a highly skilled professional with proven capability in project planning, program management, testing, cost estimating, specification development, and training support for U.S. Navy shipboard systems, including mechanical, structural, electrical, and combat systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the identification, development, implementation, and rigorous evaluation of qualification programs and technical training curricula tailored to meet evolving Navy operational requirements.
Ensure all training programs and instructional content remain current, comprehensive, and aligned with fleet readiness objectives.
Conduct and oversee refresher training to sustain high proficiency levels of personnel deployed at the Guam Detachment.
Collaborate closely with naval engineering, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure training consistency with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW SCS, and Level 1 standards and regulations.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in training delivery and instructional leadership focused on U.S. Navy shipboard systems.
Demonstrated expertise in project planning, management, testing, cost estimating, and writing technical specifications for naval mechanical, structural, electrical, and combat systems, fully compliant with applicable regulatory and safety standards.
Proven ability to perform and support comprehensive structural inspections, both shipboard and in-facility.

Established record of success in developing and managing tactical and technical training programs within a military or defense environment.
Exceptional leadership, organizational acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic, mission-critical settings.
