Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing project management support to an information technology (IT) organization responsible for implementing and sustaining a robust IT benchmarking capability.
• Responsible for identifying critical tasks, managing project meetings and suspense dates for action items, and preparing executive presentations to senior J6 leadership.
• Perform IT benchmarking pre-assessment visit activities which include participating in and recording the results of customer interviews, evaluating responses from pre-assessment questionnaires, and developing follow up questions for visit interviews, to identify system and process improvement opportunities.
• Provide Benchmarking Assessment visit support to include recording comments and feedback during subject matter expert interviews, collecting observations and generating an out-briefing presentation to senior J6 officials.
• Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and creating a final report which includes observations, recommendations, and alternatives for best practices.
• Responsible for tracking status of assigned actions for both best practices and IT service improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver IT benchmarking standard operating procedures, processes, templates, examples, checklists, tools, and policies for inclusion in a process library to support the advancement of the IT benchmarking program.
• Perform technical infrastructure maintenance activities, leveraging expertise with the Advana data visualization tool and the ADW ServiceNow technical development tool.
• Work with Joint Contingency & Expeditionary Services (JCXS) system users to analyze enhancement, interface, and new development requirements to determine scope, document requirements, and develop impact assessments.
• Provide day-to-day user assistance, tutoring, and ad hoc training on all JCXS systems.
• Troubleshoot training issues and coordinate with application support resources to resolve problems.
• Develop and update training materials, FAQs, and lessons-learned documentation.
• Directly responsible for creating, maintaining, or having significant input into the following deliverables:
o Training Material. This includes developing new training materials (manuals, quick reference guides, etc.) and maintaining all existing materials to reflect software updates.
o Enhancement/Interface Requirements Documentation. Collaborate with users to analyze, define, and formally document the requirements for any system enhancement or interface.
o Lessons-Learned Document. Help capture lessons learned from each development release cycle to drive continuous improvement.
o Development Requirements Documentation. Document user and system requirements for a new or redesigned system.
o Development Training Materials. Create the complete training package for any newly developed system.
Essential Required Experience & Skills:
• Two (2) years of practical industry, government and/or consulting experience in information technology management.
• Five (5) years of experience in contingency contracting and/or experience in managing/using contingency tools.
• IT project management experience using various Microsoft tools.
• Knowledge and experience in managing information technology services and strategies.
• Technical skill in benchmarking IT services and support for best practices
• Proficiency in basic analytical software such as Microsoft Excel and Access, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Must have DOD Secret clearance at time of proposal submission.
Educational Requirements: • BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience.
Travel: Must be able to travel 50%.
