Description of Duties:
The Global Network Operations Security Center (GNOSC) Server/Applications/Watch Officer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
- Create and respond to Remedy Incident Tickets, working with customers to resolve network communication issues
- Be responsible for assisting in facets of a continuous 24/7 Global Network Operations Center
- Execute network, system, and cloud systems monitoring/surveillance, environmental monitoring, incident management and MDA Cybersecurity
- Support service maintenance activities including Change Management coordination
- Perform administration of Linux and Windows environments including troubleshooting, patching, and log reviews
- Provide operations and maintenance for complex application systems including IIS, MS SQL Server, and other tools
- Perform installation/configuration of web applications including Apache, Tomcat, and RHEL-based tools
- Apply DISA STIGs for web servers and websites
- Coordinate with GNOSC Watch Officers and Mission Support Teams to manage incidents and application outages
- Manage the Mission Support Schedule and coordinate with operations to support events
- Provide "Lessons Learned" and "Hot Wash" recommendations after events
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate with GNOSC leadership to meet service levels and provide operational impact insights
- Lead troubleshooting efforts in dynamic, time-sensitive scenarios across a matrixed team
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong documentation and communication skills
- Follow and help improve documented procedures
- Work well in a team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or above
- Must have a HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of general experience
- Must have 2 years of directly related experience
- Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or higher)
Desired Qualifications:
- Have experience in metrics-based IT Operations and Maintenance
- Have experience with Remedy Ticketing System
- Have experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux
- Have experience with application systems including PowerShell, RHEL, IIS, Apache, and Tomcat
Compensation:
