Sr. Mobile Software Developer/Engineer - Android

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking an Android Mobile Software Developer/Engineer to join our Client's team.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android-based mobile applications based in Kotlin on sound programming fundamentals per client requirements.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the Android platform, and strong programming skills in Kotlin to be able to collaborate with client on best practices for app development.
• Support UI design as required to convert customer requirements into wireframes/storyboards and gain alignment on mobile app UI design.
• Perform thorough testing of Android-developed code. Diagnose and resolve bugs. Ensure high-quality apps are delivered to client.
• Support app submission writeup and Android Play Store review/approval process per client requirements.
• Support development of Android app data communications to back-end servers/services via RESTful APIs/JSON or similar integration construct. NestJS experience a plus.
• Strong JavaScript skills, to enhance/extend mobile applications as required.
• Work effectively with cross-functional team members including fellow architects and engineers as well as non-technical members of the team.
• Support DevOps-based CI/CD software development model, with Agile-based SDLC.
• Produce proper Android technical design and functionality documentation per client requirements.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of professional experience developing Android mobile apps via Anrdoid ADK and/or Kotlin for app store use.
• 2+ years working with Kotlin IDE to develop native Android mobile apps.
• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Demonstrated experience with managing development requirements, test cases and bug tracking in Atlassian Jira or ADO.
• Experience with automated testing.
