Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Information Security Officer with 6+ years of experience that will support the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a life-cycle security model that develops, maintains, and dispositions of the customer. The ISSO will be a focal point coordinating with system owners to ensure systems are operated and maintained in accordance with security policies and practices and reports all information system security incidents through the appropriate customer channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform as Team Lead or Senior Subject Matter Expert within Project Scope within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
If assigned as Team Lead, empower your security team to consistently operate at peak performance, fostering a high-functioning, results-driven environment
Ensure information protection meets mission and business needs
Support the selection of applicable security controls and best practices
Design and collaborate on system security architecture
Define and allocate system security requirements across components
Perform vulnerability and risk assessment for certification and accreditation
Evaluate security solutions for compliance with classified data handling
Develop and update system security plans and related IA documentation
Maintain operational security posture and day-to-day security operations
Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms
Manage changes and assess security impact of system updates
Provide configuration and change management for security-relevant components
Assist with determining security authorization boundaries per FBI/NIST RMF
Map security requirements to system elements for lifecycle support and acquisition
Develop detailed security designs including trade-off analysis
Propose, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards
Support security authorization activities (e.g. C&A, RMF compliance)
Prepare and maintain required documentation (SSP, Project Plans, Release Trains, etc.)
Track and maintain records of hardware/software/network security assets
Assist with evaluating and integrating security solutions
Develop system security policy and ensure ongoing compliance
Technical Experience or Knowledge
Minimum of 6+ years of security experience as an ISSO or equivalent position
Demonstrate experience with the following tools:
JCAM (Joint Cybersecurity Authorization Management)
Telos Xacta
