Job Title: Electronics Technician Maintenance III – SATCOM (CBSP AN/USC‑69 / STiNG)
Location: Naval Station Norfolk, VA (On‑site at MARMC)

About the Program
Join a high-trust team supporting MARMC C280 (Codes 283/284)—the Navy’s front line for shipboard comms readiness in Norfolk. As the CBSP specialist, you’ll restore and optimize AN/USC-69 connectivity—including (V)4 STiNG—working hands-on at the waterfront. Expect variety across hull types, collaboration with expert ETs, and visible wins: cleaner grooms, faster restores, and stronger inspection results for deploying ships.
What You’ll Do:
· Execute shipboard assessments/inspections; perform cold/hot checks and operational checks.
· Troubleshoot, repair/adjust, and groom CBSP terminals/antennas; oversee Ship’s Force corrective actions.
· Use appropriate test equipment; record findings; compile MS Office reports and historical files.
· Provide on-the-job training to Ship’s Force; communicate findings clearly in briefs/reports.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Active SECRET security clearance.
4+ years hands on operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of: AN/USC-69 CBSP (all variants/antennas).
2+ years hands on operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of: AN/USC-69(V)4 CBSP (STiNG).
Working knowledge of Navy assessment programs/visit processes/reporting.
Skilled in instrumented troubleshooting and interpreting wiring diagrams/control schematics.
Proficiency with MS Office; strong written and oral communication.
Preferred / Highly Desirable
Experience coordinating with MARMC/Ship’s Force during availabilities; prior TYCOM/ATG/INSURV support.
Familiarity with shipboard RF distribution/antenna paths and COMSEC interfaces.
