MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Trainer and Maintainer to join our vehicle sustainment team in Djibouti. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design and conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.
  • Develop course curriculum, develop training modules and instructional materials for technical training programs.
  • Coordinates class arrangements, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Assess needs to determine training material content.
  • Keeps abreast of information technology training needs, trends, methods, new materials and techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of qualified instructor experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field (OR) 6+ years of qualified instructor experience and an associate degree in a related field (OR) 9+ years of qualified instructor experience.

    Must have TRADOC approved Army Instructor training course (Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS), Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC)) or TRADOC equivalent certification.
  • Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
  • Experience in providing instruction and training and ability to develop course curriculum.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a U.S. Passport valid for at least two years beyond the start date.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferable.
  • Willingness to accept both temporary and permanent CONUS & OCONUS transfers to other assignments if needed.
  • Experience with maintaining and the operation of the CROWS system.
  • Ability to deploy to risky hostile environments if required.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
