  • You will serve as an Information Management Team technical lead and provide infrastructure systems administration and development support of operations.
  • You will ensure all back-up and recovery procedures are sound, in-place and active and that system recovery can be initiated in compliance with Marine Corps mission critical or non-mission critical policy guidelines.
  • You will manage all server and system development and administration and other related systems.
  • You will ensure strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team, assign projects, determine problems to solve and give deadlines for completion.
  • You will research, learn, and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, analyze, and improve team effectiveness and work products.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 422 and 451 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical expertise and leadership in ensuring servers are secure and in compliance; oversee planning, scheduling and coordination of backups; and coordinate proper maintenance and operation of Internet and Intranet websites.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensures all back-up and recovery procedures are sound, in-place and active and that system recovery can be initiated in compliance within regulated guidelines.
  • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensures all branches have access to their respective Microsoft SharePoint sites and provides training resources for branch SharePoint administrators.
  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides advice, counsel, and guidance concerning configuration aspects that affect a wide range of agencies.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Involved with all stages of locally developed application system hardware and operating system software configurations ranging from defining initial requirements to monitoring and troubleshooting implemented solutions.
