We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled engineer with a strong background in rotary wing vehicle design and control law development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MATLAB, SIMULINK, and C++ in aerospace applications, particularly in modeling and simulation environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems, and environments into 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
- Develop and implement guidance, navigation, and autopilot algorithms, including integration of Operational Flight Program (OFP) code.
- Conduct modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies, and end-to-end kill chain assessments.
- Support Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) lab activities to verify system performance requirements.
- Assist in the integration and testing of hardware and software in HWIL environments.
- Participate in flight-test planning, prediction, and post-test data performance analysis.
- Active Secret Clearance is Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience with FORTRAN and 6-DOF simulation environments.
- Background in aerospace applications.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience with HWIL integration and testing.
- Familiarity with:
- Linear algebra
- Probability and statistics
- State dynamic equations
- Kalman filter applications
- Kinematics and rotating coordinate systems
- Experience with rotary wing vehicles is highly desirable.
