Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and deployment of specialized laptops and related equipment for the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing deployable hardware systems that meet the operational and security requirements of intelligence operations. All hardware will be configured for plug-and-play with assorted antennas and sensors, and global Internet access.
Candidates must be able to adapt in an exciting, dynamic operational environment while maintaining relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement deployable laptop systems and related equipment tailored for field operations supporting the Army OSINT Office.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the reliability, durability, and security of deployable hardware systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware with software, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility in varied operational environments.
- Develop hardware configurations and designs to leverage and support open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection in a variety of locations and conditions.
- Manage the lifecycle of deployable hardware products, from conception through to deployment and operational support.
- Support and configure hardware addons/additions to support various antennas and data collection sensors, in an interoperable, plug-and-play configuration.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., bachelor's degree).
- 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering, with specific experience in developing deployable hardware systems for the Intelligence Community or defense sector.
- Proven expertise in open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection methodologies and its application to hardware design and threat assessment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities, adept at conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience in leading and coordinating work to translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in database management systems and electronic systems development.
