Job Summary
KBR - EWS is seeking a Software Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in software configuration management processes and tools. The position supports the Senior CM/DM Specialist and focuses on maintaining software configuration baselines, version control, and documentation integrity throughout the software lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of software CM processes and procedures.
• Maintain version control and configuration baselines for software products.
• Track and document software changes and releases.
• Ensure compliance with CM standards and best practices.
• Assist in preparing CM documentation and reports.
• Perform audits and reviews of software configuration items.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate configuration tracking.
• Utilize tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence for CM activities.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to software CM.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software configuration management.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with DoD software CM standards and practices.
• Familiarity with Army operations or defense acquisition programs.
• Knowledge of PLM applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000
The salary range posted is for Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
