Sr. Manager of Configuration Management

Job Summary
KBR - EWS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Configuration Management / Data Management (CM/DM) Specialist - Lead to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in CM/DM processes across the full lifecycle of Army and DoD programs. You will lead the development and implementation of CM/DM strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and serve as a key liaison with government stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Design and implement CM/DM documentation, procedures, and processes.
• Lead CM/DM efforts across planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases.
• Authorize release of drawings and engineering changes.
• Provide guidance on documentation standards and best practices.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of CM deliverables.
• Perform physical audits of equipment (travel may be required, both CONUS and OCONUS).
• Interface directly with the Government Program Management Office (PMO).
• Facilitate internal and external meetings, including control boards and working groups.
• Identify and mitigate CM/DM risks and champion process improvements.
• Monitor performance metrics and support issue resolution.
• Mentor and lead a diverse, integrated team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field (ABET-accredited).
• 15+ years of CM/DM experience (or 8+ years with a Master's degree).
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• One or more certifications with CMPIC
• Experience with MIL-STD-973 in configuration management, including engineering change control and system audits for defense programs.
• Experience with ASME Y14.100 in applying engineering drawing practices, including preparation, revision, and interpretation of technical documentation for defense and aerospace systems.
• Experience with SAE GEIA859B in product lifecycle data management, ensuring compliance with defense and aerospace standards.
• Experience with DoD 5010.12M in acquiring and managing technical data, including preparation of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and compliance with DoD data policies
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Army operations and DoD acquisition programs.
• Familiarity with DoD CM/DM standards and practices.
• Proficiency with: Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Access, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of negotiation principles and conflict resolution.
• Experience in policy and procedure development.
• Proven ability to build rapport with government customers.
• Demonstrated leadership and team facilitation skills.
Salary Range: $145,000 - $185,000
The salary range posted is for Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
