Responsibilities:
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations, focusing on the movement and storage of goods
- Contributes to meeting operational requirements and timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitors inventory levels, tracks material movement, and assists in maintaining accurate stock records
- Coordinates with vendors and suppliers to manage procurement and timely availability of materials
- Coordinates logistics activities such as transportation, shipping, and receiving of goods
- Works closely with other teams to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and resources across various locations
- Maintains accurate records and documentation for logistics operations, including shipments, inventories, and schedules
- Assists in generating reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and operational issues
- Collaborates with logistics teams to address operational needs and resolve logistical challenges
- Supports senior logistics staff by carrying out tasks to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency
- Follows industry standards and regulatory requirements in logistics operations
- Handles and stores materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Identifies and addresses logistical challenges or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Works to find solutions to minimize delays and operational disruptions
- Identifies opportunities to improve logistics processes and increase operational efficiency
- Contributes ideas and initiatives for continuous improvement in logistics operations
- Assists in managing the resources and equipment required for logistics operations
- Supports the tracking, maintenance, and safe use of logistics-related equipment
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate 's degree in Business Admin istration , Logistics, Supply Chain Management , or related field
- 4-9 years of experience in logistics , supply chain, or inventory management experience in DoD or government environment
- Proficiency with logistics tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Desired:
- Bachelor 's degree in related field
- Experience using DPAS, GCSS- Army , or other government logistics systems
- Familiarity with FAR, DFAR, DoD supply regulations, and logistics documentation
- ITIL v4 Foundations certification or knowledge of logistics- related IT systems
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipment
- Forklift certification
Clearance:
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Certification:
- DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
- CompTIA Security+ CE
