The LMS Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex learning management database systems. The LMS Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day operations, generate and analyze reports on completion rates, engagement levels, and participant feedback for management.

Position Description:
The LMS Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex learning management database systems. The LMS Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day operations, generate and analyze reports on completion rates, engagement levels, and participant feedback for management.
Key responsibilities include :
- Working under general supervision to maintain database dictionaries and integrate systems through effective database design.
- Implementing guidelines and scoring processes for LMS inclusions, such as badging and course completions
- Deploying effective workflows and maintains appropriate categorization visibility within the course catalog
- Ensuring compliance with e-learning standards
- Configuring and administering learning management systems to support client training needs
- Managing user access, roles, and permissions within the LMS platform
- Developing and implementing data management strategies and database structures
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for LMS databases and integrations
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring data integrity and system performance through regular monitoring and maintenance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure LMS solutions meet business requirements
- Supporting system upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed
- Implementing security measures to protect sensitive training data
- Providing technical guidance to junior team members
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in database administration, preferably in LMS environments
- Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in learning management system administration / designing, implementing, and maintaining learning management systems to support federal government clients.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in learning management system administration (e.g., Cornerstone, Saba, Moodle, Blackboard, or similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge of database management principles and best practices
- Experience with SQL and database query languages
- Ability to design and implement database architectures that support learning environments
- Understanding of data security and privacy requirements, particularly in government settings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Experience with system integration and API management
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working with federal government clients
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements for learning systems
- Experience with SCORM, xAPI, or similar e-learning standards
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools
- Experience with cloud-based LMS solutions
- Knowledge of change management practices
- Project management experience or certification
- Experience with automated testing and deployment tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to learning management systems
