Core4ce is looking to hire a Cybersecurity intern to work between August 25 and December 11 to help support the Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC), both Pacific and Atlantic (NIWC LANT), and their Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy partners for their dynamic and challenging missions protecting the nation's interest.

Accepted candidates will be required to complete UHM ICS 296 (1 credit) and ICS 396 (2 credits) at the UH Mānoa campus, remote attendance is possible and will need to enroll in ITS 293 (3 credits) at the UH Kapiʻolani CC campus.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with University of Hawaii (UH) faculty and Navy (NIWC) partners on assigned research projects.
- Participate in team-based or individual research initiatives focused on applied Department of Defense (DoD) topics.
- Contribute to research in one or more of the following areas:
- Engineering
- Information Technology
- Networking
- Cybersecurity (e.g., Cyber Defense Research Laboratory projects)
- Business initiatives relevant to defense applications
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support project goals.
- Attend meetings with DoD representatives, industry partners, and academic advisors to understand workforce development goals.
- Stay up to date on relevant technical or business trends affecting defense-related research.
- Prepare research summaries, presentations, or reports as required by project leads.
- Respond to deadlines in a timely fashion.
- Upload documentation into approved environment
- Communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Requirements
- Eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance
- High School Diploma
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, and software systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
