We're looking for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our high-impact team supporting a key intelligence customer in Springfield, VA. If you're a seasoned engineer with a passion for VDI technologies and a drive to innovate, this is your opportunity to make a real difference on a global scale.
What You'll Do:
As a VDI Engineer, you'll serve as the subject matter expert on a large, enterprise-wide virtual desktop environment. Your role will go beyond support-you're here to design, optimize, and innovate.
You'll:
- Lead architecture, design, and optimization of VDI solutions across a global footprint.
- Provide Tier 3/4 support to system admins, solving complex performance and integration issues.
- Act as the technical liaison for all things VDI, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms.
- Drive process automation, system improvements, and long-term strategies.
- Collaborate across disciplines in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Conduct trade studies and influence key technical decisions.

Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (or eligible)
- 5+ years of VDI experience, with a BS degree or equivalent
- Proven experience across:
- Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (v7.15+)
- Citrix PVS & MCS
- Citrix Cloud CVAD
- Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
- Workspace Environment Management (WEM), App Layering
- Liquidware Profile Unity
- VDI technologies in Hyper-V and VMware
Preferred:
- Windows Server clustering experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- VMware vCenter, SCVMM
- AD & Group Policy Management
- Software provisioning and profile/home directory support
- Work on high-impact national security missions

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $145k-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
