Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer Senior to support a Zero-Trust Architecture Implementation project. This position will be located at Langley AFB, VA and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that adhere to the Zero Trust security model, which assumes no user or device is inherently trusted, even if they are within the network perimeter. This involves a deep understanding of security principles, network segmentation, identity and access management, and continuous verification processes.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.

- Designing and Implementing Zero Trust Architecture:
Developing and implementing security designs for systems and networks, ensuring they align with Zero Trust principles. This includes defining requirements, creating architecture and design documentation, and performing technology assessments. - Integrating Security Solutions:
Working with various security technologies like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Device Management, and Network Access control to integrate them within a Zero Trust framework. - Integrating Security Solutions:
Working with various security technologies like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Device Management, and Network Access control to integrate them within a Zero Trust framework. - Monitoring and Maintaining Security:
Continuously assessing network security, endpoint protection, and data access policies to ensure adherence to Zero Trust principles. This includes monitoring network traffic, detecting and responding to security incidents, and developing documentation for Zero Trust architecture, policies, and procedures. - Providing Expertise and Support:
Serving as a subject matter expert on Zero Trust and related security trends, providing technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders.as - Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex security integration issues related to Zero Trust implementations. - Staying Up-to-Date:
Keeping abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies relevant to Zero Trust and integrating them into the organization's security posture
Qualifications
High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
- Experience engineering solutions for a Zero-Trust Architecture in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment
- Previous system administration experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a system engineer
- Proficient in Windows, Linux, and ESXi operating systems
- 5 years of experience with virtual technology such as Nutanix or VMWare
- Familiarity with security tool integration into large scale networks and computing environments
- Experience with multi-factor authentication technologies to support identity and privileged access management
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience engineering solutions for a Zero-Trust Architecture in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment
- Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS Networks
